K. O'Rourke (She/They) is an Assistant Professor and Head of Performance Faculty at DeSales University's College of Arts, Education, and Humanities. A bicoastal artist with affiliations to AEA and SAG-AFTRA unions, their work bridges theater arts with mindfulness practices.

Research focuses on Intimacy Coordination and Direction, consent-forward methodologies in stage/film, and physical actor training. They also integrate ashtanga-based vinyasa yoga and Zen meditation principles into theatrical practice through ongoing collaborations with San Francisco Zen Center.
Their Barrymore-nominated work includes acting and choreography in major regional theater productions like Detroit, Taming of the Shrew, and Jane Eyre. They serve as Director of Programming for the LA/Philly nonprofit Dancing With The Students, and are developing an international exchange project with Indonesian theater practitioners that will include a public performance in FDR Park.
