Amy K. S. Scott serves as a Professor at the Kathleen Waterbury and J.B. Reilly School of Business, DeSales University, where she teaches economics and finance across undergraduate and graduate programs.
Her academic credentials include a BA from Penn State University and MBA/Ph.D. degrees from Lehigh University, with doctoral concentrations in public finance and international economics.
Dr. Scott specializes in quantifying the regional economic impact of sporting events, currently analyzing the D and L RaceFest while previously studying the 2009 U.S. Women's Open Golf Championship and Lehigh Valley Marathon. This research bridges Sport Economics, Regional Economics, and Economic Impact Analysis, with publications in Thunderbird International Business Review, Sport Management International Journal, Journal of Sport and Tourism, and International Economic Journal. She co-authored the textbook Managerial Finance (Flat World Knowledge, 2020; updated 2021) with Bradley Barhorst.
