Jürgen Basedow

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Jürgen Basedow was an eminent legal scholar specializing in Private International Law, European Law, and Competition Law. He served as Director of the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg (1997–2017) and held professorships at the Universities of Augsburg, Berlin, and Hamburg.
