Prof. Dr. Jörg Requate serves as Professor of Western European History (18th-20th centuries) at the University of Kassel since April 2015. His academic career spans over two decades with prior positions including private lecturer at the University of Bielefeld, teacher at the Abendgymnasium Bielefeld (2010-2015), acting professor at Bielefeld University, and guest lecturer at the German Historical Institute in Paris. In November-December 2023, he was a visiting professor at the École des Hautes Études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris.
