Jörg Grohmann

Honorary Professor Jörg Grohmann serves as an External Professor of Geographic Information Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, affiliated with the Department of Economics-Logistics-Traffic. He delivers specialized instruction across multiple engineering programs focusing on transportation infrastructure and logistics systems.

His research concentrates on geospatial technology applications within transportation networks, with emphasis on sustainable mobility solutions and logistics optimization. This work integrates GIS methodologies with traffic engineering principles to address urban mobility challenges and supply chain efficiency.

Professor Grohmann actively teaches Geographic Information Systems in the Bachelor of Engineering programs for Industrial Engineering (specializing in Traffic, Transport, Logistics and Sustainable Mobility & Logistics), as well as the Master of Science program in Traffic and Transport where he covers IT methods and advanced GIS applications.
