Uwe Adler

Prof. Uwe Adler is a Professor of Road Vehicle Engineering at the Institute for Production, Transport, Handling and Storage at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences. He leads the Internship Office and holds roles in the Faculty Council and Audit Committee. His teaching spans bachelor programs in Railway Engineering and Traffic/Transport/Logistics, covering topics like technical mechanics, transport systems optimization, and environmental impacts. Master’s courses include Road Vehicle Technology, Sustainable Transport, and Mechatronics.

Research focuses on alternative vehicle technologies (electric/hybrid drives, fuels), commercial vehicle systems, and infrastructure sustainability. He coordinates the AMELIE 2 project on e-truck billing systems and European infrastructure interoperability. Professional memberships include the proTUL Institute and the Association for the Promotion of Traffic and Transport.

Current projects emphasize electric truck infrastructure and sustainable transport solutions. His work bridges technical automotive knowledge with operational logistics challenges.
