Christian Häusler serves as a Lecturer at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences within the Institute for Production, Transport, Handling and Storage. He holds the position of Teacher for special tasks with dual responsibilities in Material Flow and Logistics and the Mechatronics, Material Flow Control and Logistics Laboratory. Additionally, he serves as Deputy representative of the severely disabled persons' representative at the university, demonstrating institutional commitment to accessibility.
His research and teaching expertise centers on industrial logistics systems, with emphasis on material flow optimization, mechatronic control systems, conveyor technology, and intermodal transport chain integration. These specializations directly inform his laboratory-based pedagogy where students engage with production organization frameworks and automation technologies through hands-on projects.
Häusler teaches across Bachelor's programs in Industrial Engineering (Railway Engineering and Traffic, Transport, Logistics) and the Master's program in Material Flow and Logistics. His curriculum includes Representation techniques, Introduction to GML – Conveyor and Material Flow, Basics of conveyor technology, Intermodal transport chains applications, Object tracking, and Production Organization and Automation laboratory exercises. Office hours are held Mondays 11-12 by email appointment from Room 9.E.20 at Altonaer Straße campus.
