Prof. Dr. Jutta Gärtner serves as Head of the Cooperation Unit at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Göttingen, specializing in clinical pediatric neurology with institutional oversight of research collaborations.
Her research concentrates on severe childhood neurological disorders:
- Neurodegenerative diseases in children and adolescents (childhood dementia)
- Leukoencephalopathies
- Pediatric multiple sclerosis (in collaboration with Prof. Dr. W. Brück)
As unit head, she directs cooperative research frameworks addressing rare pediatric neurological conditions through clinical and translational studies at DZNE's Göttingen site.
