Prof. Dr. Frank Jessen is the Head of the Cooperation Unit at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Cologne. His research focuses on the early detection of Alzheimer's disease (AD), utilizing clinical and neuropsychological assessments alongside MRI techniques. He leads international initiatives to define the earliest symptoms of AD, such as subjective cognitive decline (SCD), and coordinates the multisite DELCODE study at DZNE, which investigates high-risk patients longitudinally to improve disease progression prediction and develop new biomarkers.
