Dr. Justyna Bieda serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Research on the Development of State and Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Lodz, where she actively contributes to both teaching and specialized historical research.
Her scholarly focus centers on 19th-century legal and administrative frameworks within the Kingdom of Poland, with concentrated expertise in inheritance law dynamics and the evolution of penitentiary institutions. This research trajectory is reflected in her extensive publications analyzing 19th-century Polish prison system development.
Teaching responsibilities encompass lectures on administrative history, comprehensive courses covering Polish state and law evolution, and specialized seminars for both undergraduate and graduate students—including a dedicated seminar on legal profession history. Regular office hours are maintained every Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 for academic consultations.
