Justine Paris serves as a Lecturer at UFR EILA within the Faculty of Societies and Humanities at Université Paris Cité. She maintains dual research affiliations as a member of the ALTAE EA 3967 laboratory and associate member of the ATILF UMR 7118 laboratory at the University of Lorraine. Her professional roles include Secretary of ARDAA and Co-coordinator of the CERCLES Autonomy focus group.
Dr. Paris specializes in linguistics and English language pedagogy with research emphases on specialized English teaching, learning autonomy, student empowerment, and figurative language. Her work bridges theoretical linguistics with practical classroom applications across multiple educational levels.
Her current research centers on the RemedLang Project evaluating English and Spanish remediation systems to promote language autonomy at L1 level in LEA programs. This IDEX-funded "Emergence in Research" initiative received €20,000 in December 2020 for the 2021-2024 period. Her publications focus on specialized English teaching methodologies implemented across undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Lorraine.
Dr. Paris actively contributes to multiple research working groups including GERAS, GT DidAsp (Working Group on Specialized English Teaching), GR Numérique (focusing on digital technology for English instruction), and GR Higher Education (examining pedagogical practices in higher education).
She teaches a comprehensive range of courses spanning Scientific and technical translation LEA (M1 level), Technical English and Simplified English (L3 level), LEA grammar and remediation, written expression and comprehension, French language mastery for LEA students, and English LANSAD across multiple levels including distance learning programs.
