Justin William Walley is a Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, Entomology and Microbiology at Iowa State University, with a courtesy appointment in Chemistry. He holds a Ph.D. from UC Davis (2009) and leads research on molecular mechanisms in plant growth and stress responses using mass spectrometry-based proteomics and systems biology.
Research integrates multi-omics approaches to study protein post-translational modifications (ubiquitination, phosphorylation, acetylation) and their roles in signal transduction, autophagy, and environmental adaptation.
