Justin Ulbright is a Lecturer in the Health Science Department at Whitworth University since 2011. He holds an M.S. in Physical Education (Exercise Science) from Eastern Washington University (2010) and a B.S. in Kinesiology from Washington State University (2008). He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2010. His expertise spans human anatomy, physiology, strength conditioning, biomechanics, and applied nutrition.
His research focuses on exercise physiology, including HIIT protocols and anaerobic training. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences like the American College of Sports Medicine and Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. In 2015, he received the Lecturer of the Year Award at Whitworth.
Teaching includes Anatomy and Physiology I & II (130 students, 14 semesters), Applied Nutrition (50 students), and courses in physiological kinesiology and physical activity instruction. He has developed curricula, assessed student performance, and integrated lab components into coursework.
