Justin M. Anderson is Professor and Chair of Moral Theology at Seton Hall University's School of Theology. He holds a Ph.D. from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2011), an M.Phil from KU Leuven (2008), an M.A. from Gonzaga University (2007), a Ph.L. from Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (2007), and an S.T.B. from Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Urbe (2003).
His research focuses on the Catholic intellectual tradition's understanding of scandal, Thomistic ethics, and medieval canon law. Key areas include:
- Thomistic virtue ethics and grace
- Medieval canonical traditions
- Jesuit theological developments
- Moral absolutes in contemporary contexts
His publications demonstrate consistent focus on Thomistic philosophy, moral theology, and historical canon law, with recent work exploring equity virtues, Ignatian spirituality, and diversity in Catholic thought.
