Justin G. Whitney

Justin G. Whitney serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages, Literature and Philosophy within Tennessee State University's College of Arts & Sciences. His academic work bridges writing pedagogy, rhetoric, and cultural studies, with particular emphasis on knowledge transfer across linguistic and national boundaries.

Dr. Whitney earned his Ph.D. in Education, Culture & Society (Writing & Rhetoric focus) from the University of Utah in 2018, following an M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition from Texas State University San Marcos (2012) and a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin (2004). His two-year teaching experience in South Korea informs his cross-cultural research perspective.
