Julien Saint-Pol is a Lecturer at the University of Artois, affiliated with the Jean Perrin Faculty of Sciences in Lens. His research focuses on the Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB), lipid homeostasis, and exosome-mediated communication in cerebral endothelial cells and pericytes. He holds a Master's in Biology and Health Research from the University of Lille II (2010) and completed his PhD at the LBHE (Laboratory of Biology, Health, and Environment) on oxysterols' impact on BBB function. Postdoctoral work at INSERM U935 (Villejuif) investigated ADAM10 regulation by tetraspanins. Current projects examine exosome roles in BBB pathophysiology.
- Educations:
- PhD: LBHE (Thesis: Oxysterols & BBB)
- Master's: University of Lille II
Research interests span BBB integrity, lipid signaling, and protease dynamics. His work bridges cell biology with neurovascular interactions, emphasizing translational biomedical applications. No awards or grants are explicitly listed, though his lab collaborations (LBHE, INSERM) suggest active research engagement.
Labs/Teams: Member of the Blood-Brain Barrier Laboratory at LBHE and collaborates with INSERM U935 teams.
