Dr. Julie Rose Hens is a Research Scientist in the Department of Endocrinology at Yale School of Medicine. She holds a PhD in Animal Science/Cell Biology from the University of Maryland (2001), and has held prior academic roles including Assistant Professor of Biology at St. Bonaventure University (2001–2008). Her research focuses on developmental biology, cancer mechanisms, and the impact of dietary methionine restriction on epigenetic processes, metabolism, and bone health. She has contributed to studies on mammary gland physiology, PTHrP signaling pathways, and the role of miRNAs in tumor suppression and metabolic disorders.
