Julian Solway is a Walter L. Palmer Distinguished Service Professor for Medicine and Pediatrics at The University of Chicago, serving as Director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Associate Dean for Translational Medicine at the Biological Sciences Division. He holds roles as Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Medicine and has leadership positions in the American Thoracic Society and National CTSA Consortium. His research focuses on asthma mechanisms, airway smooth muscle biology, and translational medicine, with notable contributions to understanding environmental and genetic factors influencing respiratory diseases.
