Julian Huppert is a Research Fellow and Director of the Intellectual Forum at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. He is also a Visiting Professor at King's College London and the University of New South Wales. Formerly a University Lecturer in Physics and Member of Parliament for Cambridge (2010–2015), he bridges academia and policy-making.

His research focuses on DNA structures, particularly G-quadruplexes as genomic switches and anticancer targets. He also explores interdisciplinary themes like AI ethics, sustainable finance, and policy-making.
