Jules Maltz is a Lecturer in Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) and serves as Professional Faculty at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. He is a Venture Partner at IVP since 2008, specializing in venture investments in software and Internet companies. His academic roles focus on entrepreneurial studies and venture capital education.
Education: MBA from Stanford GSB (2008), where he was a Siebel and Arjay Miller Scholar; BA in Economics from Yale University (2001).
Research interests include venture capital dynamics, entrepreneurship ethics, and fostering reciprocity in business. He has been recognized in Forbes Midas List (2018-2020) and GrowthCap’s Top 40 Under 40 (multiple years).
Professional Experience: Led IVP investments in 30+ companies including Dropbox, Slack, and Grammarly. Currently serves as an Observer/Director at Clipboard Health, G2, Grammarly, and others. Prior roles include Business Development at AdMob and venture capital roles at 31 Group and Banc of America Securities.
Teaching contributions include co-authoring a leadership-focused case study for Harvard Business School. Engaged in executive recruitment and mentorship of early-stage founders.
