Dr. Judith Zhu is a Senior Lecturer at the Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle, specializing in International Business and Management. Her research focuses on multinational corporations (MNCs) from emerging markets, particularly China, exploring topics such as country-of-origin effects, labor relations, and international human resource management strategies. She holds a PhD in Management from Monash University and a Master of Education from East China Normal University.
Her teaching expertise spans international management, human resource management, and globalization, with courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Judith has received the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Merit List for Teaching and Learning Excellence (2019) and was a nominee for the Haynes Prize for Promising Scholar (2014).
Research highlights include studies on Chinese MNCs' approaches to host-country labor practices, the role of employer associations, and the psychological challenges faced by skilled migrants. She has supervised multiple PhD candidates examining topics like geopolitical risks in MNC strategies, green practices in SMEs, and cultural identity among international students.
