Judith T Moskowitz, PhD, MPH, is Vice Chair for Scientific & Faculty Development and Professor in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. She directs the Behavioral, Social and Implementation Science core of the Third Coast Center for AIDS Research and serves as Director of Research at the Osher Center for Integrative Health.
- Education: PhD in Psychology (Dartmouth College, 1993), MPH (University of California, Berkeley, 1994)
- Research Focus: Investigates the impact of positive emotion on adjustment to health-related and life stress, developing interventions to improve psychological and physical well-being across diverse populations (dementia caregivers, HIV patients, cancer survivors, diabetes patients).
- Grants: Principal Investigator on multiple NIH-funded trials evaluating positive emotion interventions.
Scientific Contributions: Elected to the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research (2017) for her work integrating behavioral science with medical research, particularly in stress management and health promotion. Recipient of the 2023 Mentors of the Year award at Feinberg School of Medicine.
