Judith Olin is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Family Violence and Women’s Rights Clinic at the University at Buffalo School of Law. She joined the faculty in 2016, bringing extensive legal experience in advocacy for victims of family violence. Her roles include leadership in multidisciplinary teams addressing child abuse investigations and policy reforms in domestic violence cases.
Education: B.A. from New York University; Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
Research interests focus on domestic violence litigation, child custody advocacy, and systemic reforms in law enforcement policies. She chairs the Domestic Violence Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of Western New York and serves on the Erie County Coalition Against Family Violence and local Rape Crisis Advisory Board. Previously, Olin worked as an Erie County prosecutor specializing in domestic violence and sexual assault cases, and directed the Lee Gross Anthone Child Advocacy Center.
Teaching experience includes clinical legal education at the University of Michigan and adjunct instruction in child abuse law at UB.
