Dr. Judith Nora Hardt is a Research Fellow and postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the University of Hamburg's Climate Change and Security research group and the Franco-German Social Sciences Research Centre Marc Bloch. She serves as a Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy (IFSH) and actively contributes to the Scientists for Future network.
Her doctoral degree in International Relations was obtained from the University of the Basque Country in 2014. She subsequently lectured on International Relations, Nature Conservation, and Socioeconomics at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development.
Hardt's research centers on the interdisciplinary analysis of climate security, crisis governance, and Anthropocene challenges. She investigates the entanglements between public health, security, and ecological systems, particularly through institutional frameworks like the United Nations. Her current BMBF-funded project examines multi-crisis governance in post-pandemic Europe, emphasizing policy-relevant solutions through theoretical-practical integration.
