Judith L. Beizer

Judith L. Beizer is a tenured Clinical Professor at St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Queens, NY. She practices as a Clinical Pharmacist at the Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation in the Northwell Health System, where she provides clinical services for geriatric patients, precepts students, and contributes to the geriatric medicine fellowship program. She holds board certification in geriatric pharmacy.

Research and Professional Contributions: Focused on geriatric pharmacy, medication safety in older adults, and the development of clinical guidelines such as the AGS Beers Criteria. She co-edited the Geriatric Dosage Handbook and regularly speaks on medication management for seniors.

Awards and Recognition: Recipient of ASCP’s highest honor (George F. Archambault Award), the Richard S. Berman Service Award, and the Distinguished Alumna Award. Active in professional leadership roles, including past president of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) and roles on the AGS Nominations Committee and VA Geriatrics Advisory Committee.

Professional Activities: Served on the AGS Public Policy Committee for 9 years, contributed to expert panels for the AGS Beers Criteria updates (2012, 2015, 2019), and is a Consulting Editor for Pharmacotherapy in the AGS Geriatrics Review Syllabus.
