Abby Winter

Dr. Abby Winter is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy, and serves as Assistant Director for Outreach at the Plein Center for Aging. She specializes in geriatric pharmacy, diabetes care, and interprofessional education, with affiliations to the Plein Center for Aging Faculty and UW School of Pharmacy.

Her research focuses on medication management in older adults, ageism, deprescribing, diabetes, interprofessional education (IPE), and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She leads clinical and outreach efforts at Era Living retirement communities and contributes to diabetes and geriatrics education.

Dr. Winter is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). She serves on the School’s APPE Advisory Group and the IPE Planning Committee, and is a Director in the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) Washington Chapter.
