Joshua Gindele is a Professor of Practice in Cello at the Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music, University of Texas at Austin, and cellist of the Miró Quartet. He holds the title of Faculty String Quartet-in-Residence at the university. His career includes prestigious awards such as the Avery Fisher Career Grant (2005), the first ensemble to ever receive this honor. He has performed globally with renowned artists like Yo-Yo Ma and the New York Philharmonic.
