معرفی
Joshua Farber is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine, with a focus on immunology and inflammatory diseases. His research explores immune cell trafficking mechanisms in conditions like psoriasis and SARS-CoV-2 infection, leveraging translational approaches from bench to bedside.
Education: DO from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (2001), MA from Boston University School of Medicine (1997), BS in Physiology and Neurobiology from University of Connecticut (1996). Clinical training includes residencies in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (2002) and Psychiatry (2005).
Research interests center on chemokine-driven immune cell migration, viral immunopathology, and cutaneous inflammation. Key topics include Th17 cell biology, CCR2/CCR6 signaling pathways, and cytokine networks in psoriasis and infectious diseases.
Recent work highlights SARS-CoV-2 immune responses, including protective roles of CXCL10 and CCR2 in viral pathogenesis. His studies integrate human and mouse models to unravel mechanisms of immune cell recruitment in disease contexts.
No scientific awards listed. No formal advisees reported. Active in translational research collaborations within Yale's immunology and virology research networks.
