Dr. Joshua Becker serves as Instructor in Trombone/Euphonium and Tuba at Carleton College since 2023, while also teaching 5th Grade Band and coordinating Elementary Band in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Public Schools. A graduate of Eastman School of Music (DMA), Rice University (MM), and UW-Eau Claire (BME), he actively performs with ensembles like Minnesota Orchestra and maintains a low brass studio.

As a bass trombonist, he was a scholarship student at Aspen Music Festival for three summers and competed as finalist at International Trombone Festival and Eastern Trombone Workshop.
His teaching extends to Shell Lake Trombone Camp faculty and church brass choir conducting at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
