Christian Howard serves as Adjunct Instructor of Low Brass at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point since 2021 while completing doctoral studies (ABD) at University of Minnesota. An accomplished trombonist, he performs with ensembles including LoftOpera and Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, and has served as Principal Trombone for Chautauqua Summer Festival (2014-2017).

Specializing in brass pedagogy and performance, Howard focuses on technical development and musical expression in low brass instruments. His expertise spans orchestral repertoire, chamber music collaboration, and trombone technique refinement through private instruction and ensemble coaching.
Professional recognition includes:
- Full-tuition fellowship at Third Coast Trombone Seminar (2018, 2019)
- Fellow at Atlantic Brass Quintet Seminar (2009-2012)
With over a decade of teaching experience, Howard coaches for Greater Twin Cities Youth Orchestras and previously taught at Mannes School of Music preparatory division. His students have gained admission to Eastman School of Music, Rice University, and Harvard University. Ensemble affiliations include Compass Rose Brass Ensemble, Mannes Trombone Quartet, and Boston University Trombone Choir.
