Dr. Josh Price is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Southern Utah University (SUU), part of the School of Business. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University, an M.A. in Economics from Cornell University, and a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell. Before joining SUU in 2014, he worked as an economist at Litigation Analytics, Inc., specializing in estimating economic damages in civil litigation. His teaching focuses on microeconomics, quantitative methods, public policy, and data analysis using STATA.
Price emphasizes hands-on, student-centered education, valuing mentorship and one-on-one interactions. He has been recognized by students for his impactful teaching. Beyond academia, he actively participates in family activities, coaches his son’s sports teams, and enjoys programming and crossword puzzles with his wife.
