Josh Morton is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Technology at the Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, where he has been a faculty member since 2017. His research bridges strategic management and information systems, focusing on digital innovation, strategic agility, and open organizing practices.

His research interests center on Strategy Practice, Digital Strategy, and Open Organising, exploring how organizations adapt to technological disruptions through collaborative and transparent strategic processes. A key focus is the role of digital innovation in fostering organizational agility.
Josh has received multiple accolades, including best paper awards at EGOS and the Strategic Management Society, best reviewer awards from prestigious conferences, and the University of Leeds' Dean's Award for Research Excellence (Early Career, 2023). He also holds the LITE Transformation Fellowship for innovative teaching in Strategic Management.
As Deputy Director of the Centre for Technology, Innovation and Engagement (C-TIE), he oversees research initiatives integrating strategy and technology. He has taught Strategic Management across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education levels and directed the MSc Global Strategy and Innovation Management program (2017-2021). Josh actively supervises Management PhD students and mentors Laidlaw Scholars.
