Dr. Amgad Badewi is a Senior Lecturer in Project and Programme Management at Kent Business School, University of Kent. He holds a PhD from Cranfield University and has designed over 53 executive courses delivered globally to organizations including Rolls Royce, Airbus, and the UN. His leadership roles include serving as former Director of Finance at PMI UK Chapter and academic judge for APM awards.
Education includes a PGCHE from University of Kent and advanced practitioner certifications in MSP, ITIL, and PMP. His research bridges project management with institutional theory, benefits realization, and organizational agility.
Research focuses on how project frameworks enable strategic transformations, with emphasis on PMOs, benefits management, and innovation logics. Key themes include the role of project methodologies in entrepreneurial success and ambidextrous organizations.
Publications demonstrate consistent exploration of ERP-enabled innovation, benefits governance, and technology-driven organizational change, with empirical studies across multiple sectors.
Achievements include the APM Best PhD Thesis award and €400k+ in research funding from PMI and Emirates Government. He contributed to the PMI's Benefits Realization Management Practice Guide and authored a forthcoming book 'Project Benefits Management: From operations to strategy'.
