Dr. Josh Greer serves as an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the graduate and undergraduate Sports Management programs at Cumberland University's Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. He previously held teaching roles at Bethel University and the University of Tennessee at Martin. His work focuses on experiential learning, esports program development, and innovative academic initiatives in sport management.

Research & Innovation: Dr. Greer pioneered experiential learning programs linking students to high-profile events like the NFL Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, and College Football National Championship. He co-developed the MBA: Sports Administration concentration and Sports Marketing minor, and founded the Esports Management Minor to address emerging trends in esports administration and event management.
Program Leadership: As director of Cumberland's Esports Program, he built a nationally recognized initiative attracting students passionate about competitive gaming and digital sports industries. His academic advising and curriculum design emphasize practical application of theoretical knowledge.
Labs/Teams: Oversees Cumberland University's Esports Program and collaborates with industry partners for experiential learning opportunities.
