Josh Blanchard is a Professor of Online Philosophy at the College of Arts & Sciences, Columbia International University (CIU), where he has taught Philosophy and Ethics since 2021. He holds a PhD from the University of Aberdeen, an MA from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University, and a BS from CIU. As a Theological Advisor to St George’s House at Windsor Castle, he contributes to international theological dialogues.
His research explores metaethics, political theory, personal identity, and the works of Augustine of Hippo, bridging philosophy, theology, and ethics. Key themes include moral anthropology, political discourse in theological contexts, and the intersection of mental health with personal identity.
Blanchard's forthcoming publications (2025) focus on Augustinian ethics, confession as political discourse, and theology in mental health. His scholarship consistently addresses the relevance of historical theology to contemporary ethical and political challenges.
