Dr. Josephine E. Moore is a Researcher at the Department of Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, and Mineralogy under the Institute of Geological Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. Her work focuses on mineralogical and petrological processes in subduction zones, particularly fluid dynamics, sulfur mobilization, and serpentinite geochemistry. The laboratory recently acquired a new microprobe to enhance analytical capabilities.
Key research interests include scale-invariant dehydration mechanisms in subducting slabs and isotopic signatures in sulfur mobilization. Recent publications highlight innovative findings on fluid release dynamics and heavy sulfur behavior during subduction processes.
No scientific awards have been listed. She advises no formally registered students. The laboratory's equipment upgrades reflect ongoing commitments to cutting-edge geochemical analysis.
