معرفی
Dennis Vanderliek is a Researcher and doctoral student at the Department of Earth Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin, within the Institute of Geological Sciences/Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, Mineralogy group. His research focuses on reconstructing the early lunar timeline through isotopic analysis of lunar rocks, emphasizing in-situ U-Pb dating of accessory phases to preserve petrological context. He addresses gaps in historical lunar impact studies by integrating advanced techniques like Scanning Electron Microscopy (IML RWTH Aachen/FU Berlin), Raman Spectroscopy, Electron Microprobe Analysis, and Secondary Ionization Mass Spectrometry (GFZ Potsdam).
His work contributes to the TRR170 collaborative research center investigating late accretion onto terrestrial planets. Notably, he participates in projects such as the ERC Advanced Grant 'DEVENDRA' (2023–), exploring vegetation and erosion effects on weathering processes. Vanderliek’s affiliations include research collaborations at RWTH Aachen and the GFZ Potsdam, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach to planetary geology and geochemical analysis.
