Dr. Joseph Weingartner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at George Mason University. His research focuses on physical processes associated with cosmic dust. Previously, he held a postdoctoral position at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) at the University of Toronto from 1999 to 2003. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University in 1999 under the supervision of Bruce T. Draine.
