Joseph P. Gone is Professor of Anthropology and Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard University, where he serves as Faculty Director of the Harvard University Native American Program. An enrolled member of the Aaniiih-Gros Ventre Nation, Gone's research examines intersections of culture, colonialism, and mental health in Indigenous communities.

Honors include the APA Award for Distinguished Contributions to Applied Research, APF Gold Medal for Impact in Psychology, Guggenheim Fellowship, and election to the National Academy of Medicine. He teaches courses on Indigenous studies, cultural psychology, and decolonizing methodologies.
