Joseph Noss is a Visiting Fellow at the Qatar Centre for Global Banking and Finance within King's Business School at King's College London. His professional background includes over a decade as a financial economist at the Bank of England, working across capital markets policy, banking regulation, and market operations. He previously led initiatives at the G20 Financial Stability Board focusing on climate change and technology impacts on financial systems.
His research focuses on:
- The reflection of climate change expectations in financial market pricing
- Net-zero transition impacts on financial firm behavior and structures
- Sustainable finance standards development
- Central banking policy challenges
He currently advises Oliver Wyman's financial institution clients on regulatory strategy and chairs the ISO Sustainable Finance committee developing global sustainability standards for financial products. Noss is accepting PhD student supervision applications at King's.
His base institution, the Qatar Centre for Global Banking & Finance, specializes in cutting-edge research on central banking challenges including monetary policy, financial stability, and regulation.
