Joseph D Phillips

Joseph D Phillips, MD is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. He holds affiliations with the Dartmouth Cancer Center and is an Investigative Member of its Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy Program. His clinical and research expertise spans thoracic surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and oncology.

• General Surgery Residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University
• Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at University of Michigan Health Systems

Research Interests: Focuses on advanced bronchoscopy, thoracic oncology (lung cancer, mediastinal tumors), esophageal disorders, tracheal diseases, and surgical outcomes research. Active in tumor immunology and minimally invasive surgical innovations like robotic surgery.
