Justin D. Blasberg, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of Robotic Thoracic Surgery at Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries for lung, esophageal, and mediastinal diseases, with a focus on thoracic oncology and surgical outcomes research. Dr. Blasberg completed his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical expertise includes robotic thoracic surgery, management of tracheal stenosis, and complex lung resections. He leads research on lung cancer detection and surgical outcomes, collaborating with institutions across the U.S. His work emphasizes improving patient care through evidence-based guidelines and clinical trials.
Research interests include robotic surgery advancements, lung cancer imaging techniques, and surgical outcomes analysis.
