Joseph Blatt is a Senior Lecturer on Education at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education (HGSE). He holds an Ed.M. from Harvard (1977) and specializes in media's impact on learning, civic behavior, and informal education. His work bridges academia and industry through collaborations with Sesame Workshop, WGBH, and PBS.
Research interests include climate change education, out-of-school learning, and technology integration in instruction. He directs HGSE's Faculty Focus on Teaching project and co-created the Usable Knowledge website. Notable projects include documentaries for NOVA and the Break Through series profiling minority scientists.
