Josefin Ahlkrona

Josefin Ahlkrona serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Stockholm University, where she is an active member of the Computational Mathematics research group. This group specializes in mathematical modeling and method development for systems spanning molecular to planetary scales.

Her research focuses on computational engineering applications in climate science, specifically:

• Finite element methods for ice sheet modeling
• Ocean modeling
• Numerical simulation of climate systems
• Mathematical modeling of geophysical fluid dynamics

Prior to her current role, Dr. Ahlkrona completed doctoral studies at Uppsala University's IT Department and held a postdoctoral fellowship at Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel's Department of Mathematics.
