Jorgen Johansen

Professor Jorgen Johansen is a faculty member in the Roy J. Carver Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology at Iowa State University. His expertise lies in the regulation of nuclear organization and function, utilizing Drosophila as a model system to study molecular and genetic mechanisms governing cell cycle processes and gene expression.

Education: B.S. in Biology (University of Copenhagen, 1976); Ph.D. in Neuroscience (University of Copenhagen, 1984); Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University (1984-1988).
