Jorge Dias is a Full Professor at Khalifa University (Abu Dhabi, UAE) specializing in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on Artificial Perception. He coordinates the Khalifa University Center of Autonomous Robotic Systems (KUCARS) and has contributed to robotics advancements since 1984.
- Habilitation/Doctor of Science (2011) & PhD (1994) in Electrical Engineering from University of Coimbra, Portugal
His research spans Robotics for Sustainability, Computer Vision, and Social Robots, with over 300 publications. Recent work emphasizes autonomous navigation, underwater robotics, and neuromorphic computing.
