Jonna Belanger

Jonna Belanger is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at The Pennsylvania State University. She serves as Director of the Applied Exercise and Health (AEH) Program and chairs the HHD Faculty Council for 2024-25. She is affiliated with The Team Lab, emphasizing collaborative research in disability-inclusive sports.

Her research centers on expanding athletic opportunities for youth with disabilities within interscholastic sports frameworks. Key specializations include adapted physical activity interventions, disability sports advocacy, and inclusive sport policy design to broaden accessibility across diverse abilities. This work bridges kinesiology, social equity, and youth development disciplines.
