Lauren Lieberman is a Distinguished Service Professor at SUNY Brockport's Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies & Physical Education. She has been affiliated with the university since 1995, progressing from Assistant Professor to her current rank. Her expertise lies in adapted physical education, particularly for children with sensory impairments and CHARGE Syndrome. She holds a PhD from Oregon State University, emphasizing Movement Studies in Disabilities, alongside degrees from UW LaCrosse and West Chester University.

Her work emphasizes caregiver support and interventions for older adults with visual impairments, as seen in her 2023 study on home-based quality-of-life interventions. She also advocates for inclusive education and has developed training programs for educators and physical therapists.
Lieberman actively engages in outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking, reflecting her commitment to promoting active lifestyles. She resides in Brockport, NY, and continues to expand Camp Abilities globally, recently expanding to Ghana, Ireland, and Brazil.
