Jonathan Stitelman

Jonathan Stitelman is a Senior Lecturer at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis. He teaches in the Master of Urban Design, Master of Architecture, and undergraduate architecture programs. His research focuses on transportation planning, forced migration, refugee resettlement, and the intersection of urbanism with cultural anthropology and visual culture.

His work bridges architectural practice with socio-cultural analysis, exemplified by projects like the 2023 coffee drying house typology study. Recent publications explore architectural aesthetics and interdisciplinary critique. He has exhibited work internationally, including at Arte Spazio Tempo Gallery in Venice (2018) and Des Lee Gallery in St. Louis (2019).
