Jonathan Sauceda is an Associate Professor of Musicology and Associate Dean and Head of the Sibley Music Library at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. He oversees library operations, collection development, and technological innovation while maintaining an active research agenda in Latin American music and music information ecosystems.
Research interests include Latin American popular and art musics, with a focus on sociopolitical themes like narcocorrido narratives, and the evolving role of libraries in the digital age. His publications address music librarianship practices, format preferences in performing arts education, and interdisciplinary research support.
As Editor of Notes: The Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association, he shapes discourse in music librarianship. His work bridges academic research and practical library administration, emphasizing user engagement and technological adaptation.
